Abstract

VALIDITY AND RELIABILITY OF DEPRESSION, ANXIETY AND PSYCHOSIS QUESTIONNAIRE OF MINI INTERNATIONAL NEUROPSYCHIATRIC INTERVIEW (MINI) IN INDONESIA

Background: Ministry of Health needs specific instrument to measure community mental health. The objective of this study is to assess the validity and reliability of depression, anxiety and psychosis instrument. Method: The study took place in 2017. The original instrument was Mini International Neuropsychiatric Interview (MINI) version 6, 00 translated into Bahasa Indonesia. Total subjects are 1013 consisted of patients and general population in three cities in Indonesia. Validity obtained by comparing between interviews using MINI by diploma education in health enumerator with clinical interview by psychiatrist.  Inter rater agreement among enumerator performed between two pairs enumerator with 40 respondents. Analysis performed by calculating sensitivity, specificity, positive prediction value and kappa using STATA version 10. Results: Depression, anxiety and psychosis sensitivity is between 60 – 80%. Positive prediction value is between 30 – 60%. Negative prediction value showed better result around 90%. Agreement between enumerators shows moderate kappa value (0, 62 and 0, 76) for depression and anxiety. Conclusion: The result provedMINI can be used for the community survey especially for depression and anxiety in Indonesia.
